Overview
Leadership starts with oneself. An organization filled with people who are goal-driven, intrinsically motivated, and effective in carrying out their tasks and dealing with their colleagues is just what the doctor ordered to maintain a healthy workplace. But finding these people and putting them all in one organization is an almost impossible job.
There is however a way to enhance personal effectiveness in the workplace and that is through interventions like training and putting together support systems that enhance people’s motivation to achieve work effectiveness and life success. The main goal of this workshop is to provide a source of information and motivation for people to take the goal-driven and self-motivated path towards personal and career success. This also aims to equip them with tools they can use to manage their work more effectively and their relationship with others.
We designed this program to help participants achieve private success by conquering self-imposed limitations and public success by removing barriers to working with others. We made the program highly interactive and experiential to keep the participants engaged.
Course Objectives
After attending this program, the participants will be able to:
Identify and integrate their professional and personal goals
Set meaningful life goals
Create strategies for completing their most essential activities at any point in time
Manage time wasters
Monitor their activities and take the appropriate corrective measures
Develop a personal support system that will facilitate their relationships and emotional bank account
Prepare themselves mentally, physically and emotionally for various life challenges
Find a more balanced lifestyle
Formulate a Personal Development Plan
Course Outline
This module introduces the fundamental concepts of personal effectiveness. It begins with understanding paradigms and how paradigms control us. This module also tackles how people should control their paradigm instead of it controlling them. This module also includes exercises that will help the participants rediscover themselves through introspection and through feedback from others.
This module aims to help participants peg their own personal visions and draw a roadmap towards getting there. This workshop will also help them rediscover their own personal and work values that serve as guiding principles in their quest towards achieving their goals – and orients to what stops the vision journey.
This module will equip the participants with tools for prioritizing tasks, dealing with time wasters and things that get in the way of getting things done. This module also focuses on how to deal with failure as a means to succeed. One key learning point of this module is about how to focus on your key priorities so effectively so that you don’t miss on what matters the most in your life.
This module aims to show the importance of collaborating with others, what gets in the way of successful collaborations and how to fix collaboration gaps. This module also equips participants to develop strategies to work with people around you: colleagues, bosses, patients and others.
In this culminating module, the participant will put together a plan for continuing personal improvement that will help them put all their learning to action.
